Amanda L. Tate is a Partner with the law firm of Federico Schwartz Merolesi & Lyddane, LLP. Amanda has 15 years of experience in litigating multifaceted medical malpractice actions, with a chief focus on zealously defending physician clients and major hospital systems.
She brings a creative and dynamic approach to her practice, by exploring early resolution, where appropriate, as well as successfully obtaining summary dismissals. Her innovative thinking and keen attention to detail allows each case to be comprehensively worked, from inception through trial.
Amanda’s nuanced procedural knowledge, as well as an understanding of complex medicine, has allowed for the continued elevation of her practice. She has extensive appellate experience, having drafted and argued appeals and motions at the Appellate Division and the Court of Appeals. Further, she has also litigated cases in the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
Amanda has consistently been recognized by her peers in the community, having been selected as a Super Lawyer Rising Star from 2017 to 2020 and as a Super Lawyer from 2021 to 2024. Further, she has lectured before physicians and other hospital personnel regarding the interplay of medicine and the law.
