John L. A. Lyddane has been defending medical malpractice and high-exposure personal injury cases in the New York State and Federal courts for over fifty years and has tried more than three hundred cases to verdict or dismissal. He has also managed and participated in continuing education programs and mentoring programs in his fields of legal specialty. For more than twenty years he has authored the bimonthly column on techniques of defending medical malpractice cases for the New York Law Journal.
John was inducted into the American College of Trial Lawyers in 1992 and has consistently been listed among the best attorneys in his field by the various publications that track those evaluations. Two of his trials in 2024 involved the defense of the same physician before the same judge with the same counsel for the plaintiff, both of which were concluded in favor of his grateful client.
