Daniel G Federico is a founding member of Federico Schwartz Merolesi & Lyddane. A senior trial attorney, Dan has litigated claims involving catastrophic injury for more than thirty years.

Mr. Federico has built an impressive record of favorable verdicts in every county in the New York Metropolitan Area in actions involving alleged malpractice, construction, products liability, labor law and premises litigation. He has represented professionals in a wide array of medical disciplines on behalf of the premier institutions in the New York Metropolitan Area and has successfully litigated disciplinary and regulatory proceedings involving professional licensure. In addition, Dan has argued before the state’s appellate courts in matters related to tort litigation and professional discipline.

Mr. Federico is the immediate past president of the New York State Medical Defense Bar Association. He has been an invited speaker for the New York State Bar Association, lectured to the NYS Supreme Court Judges’ Conference and has served on the Supreme Court Medical Malpractice Advisory Committee. Dan has also been engaged as a presenter for many of New York State’s hospital networks on issues affecting the practice of medicine and the law.
